About Corrine
The person behind CJ's Day Home — and why a day home makes all the difference.
Owner & Operator
Corrine Jensen
Corrine Jensen has been providing warm, attentive care for children in Taber, Alberta for over 25 years. Her day home was built on a simple belief: that the early years of a child's life are too important to leave to chance — and that a nurturing, stable environment makes all the difference.
At CJ's Day Home, children are never just a number. With a maximum of 10 children in her care, Corrine knows every child's name, their quirks, their favourite games, and the things that make them light up. That personal attention is something a large group centre simply cannot offer.
Corrine holds current first aid and CPR certification and operates under Alberta's Early Learning and Child Care standards as a licensed licensed day home.
Philosophy
What Corrine believes about early childhood
Relationships first
Children thrive when they feel safe and attached. Corrine prioritises consistency, warmth, and trust above all else.
Learning through play
Play is the work of childhood. Every activity — from art to outdoor time to imaginative play — is an opportunity to learn and grow.
Home-like environment
A day home isn't a mini-institution. It's a real home, with a real family feel — comfortable, calm, and familiar.
